We have the honour to invite you to participate in the 8th International Blacksmith Festival – 2010 and exhibition “Ornamental Forging – 2010” where teams from Italy, Germany, Russia, Holland, France, Finland, Belgium, Australia, Spain, Norway, Sweden, the USA, Great Britain, Uzbekistan will take part , about 350 friends form more than 20 countries, several continents, all races and nationalities

Kind of a good motel with perfect local cuisine, you will need a taxi to get to the center (1.1 Euro)

Still hope you can make it – there are cheap flights by WIZZAIR.COM to Ukraine about 20 euros – you can fly both of Lviv and Kyiv, Wizzair.com from London, Dortmund, etc.. Have a look at them!
There are flights – in case you are short of time- from Kiev to Ivano-Frankivsk and back
Hotels are cheap – the cheap hotel-hostel is 6 euros per night,
food is cheap and tasty as people say- you can lunch eat for 3 euros or a complex lunch in a restaurant at lunch time ( they give all people the same- to make it quick-1.4 euros), restaurant – with dishes you order- a good meal with maybe even drinks -maybe 10 euros .
Transportation is not expensive – a sleeping berth in a train from Kiev to our city (in case you arrive in Kyiv) – 10 euros, taxi on all our city is about 1.1 euro – around the city.
ARRIVAL
It is best to arrive on Thursday in Lviv ( Lvov) or Kiev( Kyiv)—this is in case you want to go directly to the festival- in both cases we either organise transport from Lviv) or there is a night train from Kiev ( at 6-7pm). so , if you arrive at midday (morning) it is ok.
but you can arrive one day ( days) earlier to see the city (or to live this option AFTER the festival then you will make friends with local smiths and they will help you around after the festival in Lviv or Kyiv)
Both cities are worth seeing- Lviv is like Vienna or Paris, Kyiv is also very ancient and nice.
Some information about the destination:
Ivano-Frankivsk has got an airport but the flights are only to the capital (Kyiv)
Closest airports to our city are Lviv ( Lvov) and Kyiv( Kiev) .
Lviv is 120 km away
Kyiv is 600 km
I hope that Lviv airport will probably be reconstructed ( for Euro 2012 Football cup) in the time of the festival , so, all flights from Lviv can be transferred to Ivano-Frankivsk..
We organise transport to our city from Lviv , it will be on Thursday afternoon
We try to meet participants in the airports, try to book the tickets for the train from Kyiv (it is a night train – you sleep there in a bed one night and in the morning you arrive to our city)
so, the best is to arrive on Thursday midday ( Lviv or Kyiv) , depart—on Tuesday or Wednesday—it can give you some days to see the cities, on Monday- Tuesday we usually do to some excursions together, stay overnight somewhere in cottages in the mountains, nice places.
